Associate professor Fabio Mattos joined the department in 2013. He was an integral part of developing the department's Commodity Trading Room and commodity marketing curriculum. He has developed and teaches five courses.
In 2018, Mattos received the Holling Family Award for Teaching Excellence from the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources, the Western Agricultural Economics Association Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award, and the Omtvedt Innovation Award for Teaching.
