Jake earned his Ph.D. in Economics from Iowa State University in August 2023. Before joining the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, he was a postdoctoral research associate at Iowa State’s Center for Agricultural and Rural Development. His research examines how policies, new technologies, and market structures affect economic and environmental outcomes. He has studied topics including the Renewable Fuel Standard, adoption of genetically engineered crops, and competition in the beef industry.
