Biography
Dr. Nogueira is a food and agricultural trade economist. Her research focuses on agricultural policy, international agreements, non-tariff barriers to trade, technology innovations, food safety and food security. Dr. Nogueira has been an assistant professor at the University of Illinois and the University of Kentucky. She received a Ph.D. in economics and a master's degree in statistics from Washington State University and a master's degree in agricultural economics from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Her undergraduate degree is in food science engineering, and she has two and a half years of experience in the food ingredients industry.
