The Rural Economic and Community Vitality certificate classes include two three-credit courses and seven one-credit graduate-level courses.

Course Descriptions

Current graduate students

A Rural Economic and Community Vitality course can complement your degree. If your career includes working with rural people and places, our classes will give you tools to succeed.

Register in MyRed (UNL Students) or submit the Request for Intercampus Enrollment (UNK, UNMC, or UNO students).

Rural community professionals and leaders

All classes are online and can be accessed to fit your schedule. Choose the class that meets your needs.

Select "Non-Degree Post-Baccalaureate" in the application. Upload your undergraduate transcript(s), complete the application and pay the application fee. Graduate Studies will review your application and grant you course registration access. If you later wish to apply for the certificate, you will need to complete the certificate application.
