Melvin H. Schlesinger Reference Room
Melvin H. Schlesinger was a 1916 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and was a veteran of World Wars I and II. "The Colonel" remained devoted to the University of Nebraska throughout his life. The Reference Room was donated in his memory by his daughter Elaine and her husband Jim Wolf of Albion, NE.
Located in Department of Agricultural Economics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, the Melvin H. Schlesinger Reference Room is a state of the art home for academic study and discussions of leading scientific literature. Ph.D. students have especially benefited from the donation. The reference room is home to numerous academic journals and publications and videoconference equipment. In addition, the generous gift of Schlesinger's family gives students and faculty access to online journals, databases and online resources of special interest to the Department of Agricultural Economics faculty and students that UNL Libraries are not able to fund.
