Biography

Glennis is a statewide Extension Educator leading work on Nebraska livestock and crop enterprise budgets, the farm custom rates survey and report, and assists with special economic analyses in the Ag Econ department and the Center for Agricultural Profitability, along with farm stress workshops across Nebraska. One of her most significant accomplishments was to assist in the development of the award-winning Agricultural Budget Calculator (ABC) program, then teach and present it to producers and ag professionals across the Midwest.

Throughout her career, Glennis has assisted many small and start-up businesses with business planning services and small business lending including. Prior positions include directing her county’s economic development program and serving as Vice President for the Nebraska Enterprise Fund. Other career experiences include a two-year appointment as a Senior Community Affairs Advisor with the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, co-director of the REAP program and Women’s Business Center, taught agri-business courses at Southeast Community College in Beatrice and served as the southeast farm business consultant for the Nebraska Farm Business Association.

Glennis holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from UNL and is a farm wife and business partner on their family farm near Blue Springs, Nebraska. Eight grandchildren keep her busy quite often when away from her work.
